Keep calm & party through a cold!

Keep calm, Vogel to the rescue! Time to party…

So on Friday it was a day for us to celebrate and have fun with our good friends Paul and Amanda at their engagement party. I had looked forward to the night for months, got a lovely dress and even took the day off work to get ready, but unfortunately my body didn’t get the same invite as me! While my invite said let’s party, my body’s said – here have a cold!!!

Times like this I am so so glad I work for A.Vogel and my cupboards are now stock with some great products. I felt the first niggles of a cold on Thursday when I woke up with a sore throat, so I immediately started taking Echinacea drops and used my Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray for the first time. I have heard everyone at work rave about the throat spray, seen our great customer reviews for it, but I couldn’t believe the instant relief it gave me. After each spray my throat felt so much soother and the relief lasted longer than throat sweets usually do.  I highly recommend this product for anyone with a sore throat and looking to ease the pain and soothe their throat quickly.

I went to bed on Thursday night hoping that I would wake up cold free on Friday morning, unfortunately my body had other ideas! My throat felt a bit better but it had been replaced by a sore head and blocked nose. My puffy eyes and red nose where not the accessory I was hoping for that day, so again I hit the Echinacea hard, kept taking my throat spray and added Vitamin C, Sinuforce Nasal Spray and Po-Ho oil to the mix. I am a huge fan of Po-ho oil, which is a mixture of pure and natural essential oils of peppermint, eucalyptus, juniper, caraway and fennel. I used to use olbus oil but this is now my go to oil. It’s great for using with steam inhalation and also putting some on a tissue and breathing it in for instant relief.  A.Vogel also have a Po-ho inhaler stick which is great for on the go, but I prefer the oil directly on a tissue as it’s a lot stronger.

The whole day Friday I continued my A.Vogel cold relief treatments and by Friday night I felt so much better. Although still a bit stuffy and slight sore throat I managed to party on.  I did get some strange looks when I pulled out my nasal spray and throat spray a few times and my friend laughed her head off when she looked into my very large bag and saw all my products and tissues! I can honestly say that apart from a few sneezes I managed to get through the night feeling great, well that was until the walk home where I got completely soaked and woke up the next day worse than ever! So the routine had to start all over again… I’m left today with just a runny itchy nose, but feeling so much better. I am so glad I had Vogel’s amazing Echinacea and cold products to hand this weekend, as they really helped me keep calm, beat the cold and party on…

Do you use Echinacea to help your colds? I really do believe it helps reduce the symptoms and help you recover faster. Since starting working for A.Vogel 7 months ago this has only been my second cold, which if you knew me well you would know this is amazing! I have always had a poor immune system, but all winter whenever I felt the start of a cold I instantly started taking my Echinacea.  I ended up with a head cold in January but it only lasted 2 days and this time my cold was a lot worse and so far only lasted 4 days with only 1 really bad day and I fully believe my fast recovery is due to Echinacea.

Here’s some lovely photo’s of my great night on Friday with my other half and our amazing friends, proving that a cold can be partied through if you have the right friends, right amount of wine and the right cold products to hand:
